In the jakotop

The documentary "IM JAKOTOP" explores everyday life in Jakomini, the largest district of Graz, and creates a modern home movie with an affectionate as well as original pictorial spoils. The film is a journey to the residents, which has no destination point, but always focuses on the wishes of the people for the future of their district.

The lifelines of the protagonists - a cabaret artist, an art restorer, a social worker, a city planner, an employee of the Tröpferlbad, an elementary school principal, a café owner and the "Kronen-und Kleine-Zeitung" salesman from Jakominiplatz - documented over a period of almost two years of filming are not just a special feature of Jakomini, but realities of existence that can occur in any city, in any neighborhood, as constantly changing biotopes of life.
